Science-Based Self-Care is an apporach to taking care of ourselves from an understanding of how our bodies work.

Here, we will get to know how and why our nervous systems are impacted by common self-care practices, like breathing, movement, drinking water, talking with a friend and being in nature.

The more we are in touch with the physiology of relaxation and restoration, the less our self-care will end up at the bottom of our to-do list.

We will learn that self-care is best incorporated as a daily practice, that takes only a few minutes a time and costs little to nothing, and has cumulative and lasting impacts on our physical health, our emotional well being, our thinking, decision making and problem solving and our connection to the larger meaning of life.
